The CEO Climate Dialogue
The CEO Climate Dialogue was a broad-based coalition of four leading environmental organizations and 21 top businesses representing multiple sectors across the U.S. economy—manufacturing, utilities, agriculture and food, energy and resources, automotive, chemicals, and financial services—united in recognizing the economic, health, and environmental risks posed by climate change require action and committed to working together to advance federal climate policy in the United States. The goal of the group was to urge the President and Congress to enact a market-based approach to climate change in accordance with a set of six Guiding Principles for climate legislation.
The CEO Climate Dialogue worked for several years to advocate for bold federal policy to address the climate crisis.To meet the scale and scope of the climate crisis, much work will need to be done to ensure the full potential of recently enacted policies is realized and build upon this progress. We continue to believe that future actions including passing a national carbon price can play a helpful role in creating a strong and sustainable economy, and will look for opportunities to work together on shared policy priorities going forward.
